Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 oz crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs (regular-sized)
  • 16 candy eyes (or mustard dots)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut each hot dog into quarters lengthwise, stopping about 1 inch from the top to keep the "head" intact.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into thin strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
  • Wrap 2–3 thin dough strips around the "legs" of each hot dog, leaving the head uncovered.
  • Place each wrapped hot dog on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  • Optional: Lightly brush the dough with melted butter or oil for browning.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  • Add two candy eyes to each hot dog head or use small dots of mustard or ketchup to make eyes.
  • Serve warm with dipping sauces like ketchup or mustard.
