Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 3 tablespoons Nutella or chocolate spread of choice
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Candy eyes as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the puff pastry and cut out two circles: one large (for the body) and one small (for the head).
  • Slice the leftover pastry into 8 thin strips to use as spider legs.
  • Place the large circle on the baking sheet. Position the small circle above it so they slightly touch.
  • Attach 4 pastry legs on each side, curving them gently to resemble spider legs.
  • Spread 2–3 tablespoons of Nutella in the center of the body before sealing if desired.
  • In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the spider for a golden finish.
  • Place candy eyes on the head portion (before or after baking).
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and puffed.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your spooky creation!
