Ingredients

  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • 12 fresh mozzarella bocconcini balls
  • 12 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash and pat dry the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.
  • Pat mozzarella balls dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • Set out all ingredients for easy access.
  • On each skewer or toothpick, thread in this order: 1 cherry tomato, 1 mozzarella ball, and 1 basil leaf.
  • Repeat until all skewers are assembled.
  • Arrange finished skewers on a serving tray or plate.
  • Drizzle olive oil and optional balsamic glaze over the top just before serving.
  • Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
